**THE PROJECT**
The Utilities business are the preferred contractor on two of the largest energy infrastructure projects within the Australian energy sector, one of these projects is located in Queensland and the other in New South Wales. These two exciting opportunities secure a pipeline of work until 2027 and include the design & construction of new transmission lines and substations.
UGL Utilities division is seeking an experienced Quality Paint Inspector for Hunter power Project based in the Hunter Valley region. The project is based 35km from Newcastle and 125km from Sydney, although the position can be based within our corporate office in North Sydney or Site out the Hunter.
UGL's utilities business undertakes essential design & construction services for critical infrastructure in the power and water sectors. Our end-to-end delivery ranges from transmission lines, switchyards, substations, electrical distribution through to water and wastewater treatment plants and water pipelines.
**What will a day in this role look like**:
- Ensure that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that Company procedures are followed.
- Monitor and ensure compliance of the Safety, Health and Environment Plan.
- Ensure that the standard of workmanship is compliant with the specifications and that specified inspections and tests are conducted and records maintained to substantiate conformance.
- Review and evaluate sub-contractors capability, certifications, quality documents and submission
**What are we looking for you to bring to the team**:
- Relevant Trade Certificate
- Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a Supervisory role within the fabrication industry.
- Sound knowledge of safety, quality (including AS9001 system knowledge) and fabrication procedures and requirements.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
