**Production Operator - Afternoon Shift**

**Full-time, Permanent | $69,000-$75,000 + overtime + monthly product allowance**

Join one of South Australia’s most iconic food manufacturers, home of Violet Crumble, FruChocs and Crown Mints. We’re seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our manufacturing team on a permanent afternoon shift (2:00pm - 10:06pm, Monday to Friday).

**About the role**

You’ll operate and maintain production equipment across a range of confectionery processes, ensuring quality, safety and efficiency. The role also includes occasional supervisory duties, providing leadership and guidance to small teams during shifts - a great stepping stone for career growth into a Team Leader role.

Key responsibilities include:

- Operating, setting, changeover, adjustment and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment
- Running processes across chocolate making and production, mixing and batching, fruit processing (mincing and extrusion), chocolate coating and polishing, syrup making and batch control, and honeycomb production
- Following recipes and production instructions accurately
- Recording production data and maintaining batch documentation to required standards
- Inspection, sampling and quality control of finished products
- Preparing products for dispatch in line with specifications
- Setting up and following cleaning and maintenance schedules to keep machines in safe, efficient working order
- Calibration of machines and equipment, making precise adjustments and monitoring gauges
- Supporting and guiding team members when acting in a supervisory capacity
- Contributing to a safe and efficient workplace through teamwork, housekeeping and adherence to procedures

**What we’re looking for**

Applicants must have:

- AQF Certificate II (or equivalent) in Food Processing, or
- Minimum 1 year experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry

In addition, you’ll bring:

- Demonstrated experience with production machinery and equipment in a food or confectionery setting
- Strong capability in changeovers, setup, adjustment and fault finding
- Understanding of GMP, HACCP and food safety compliance requirements
- Ability to follow recipes and record production information with accuracy
- Previous frontline leadership or supervisory experience (desirable)
