**Job Description - Manager CD&S, Australia office**

Working within the Client Development and Sales (CD&S) organisation and reporting to the Senior Director, Australia office, the Manager CD&S role includes responsibilities for sale and revenue generation of CME Group products and services, strengthening and extending local client relationships, and working with internal stakeholders to define and deliver strategic and product targets.

The role will include active account management and new client outreach for the Australian buyside segment (Asset Managers, Asset owners, Hedge Funds, Insurance companies, Sovereign Wealth Funds, and others), plus broader customer segment coverage as may be required.

As part of CD&S the Manager will follow defined processes including, but not limited to, active client and detailed CRM engagement, campaign management, opportunity identification and creation, cross referral and cross selling, country plan management and other initiatives.

The Manager will ensure they continuously develop their product and service acumen across all asset classes, CME products, markets and clearing services.

The role may involve account management of local offices of global clients involving travel up to a maximum of 20% of a salesperson’s time.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Create and maximise individual client relationships to identify customer needs and match CME Group product and services across asset classes, markets, and business lines.
- Manage an existing customer portfolio and develop new firm trading adoption.
- Independently guide decisions that represent and support the broad interests of CME Group internal functions when working with clients.
- Plan, participate and engage in sales campaigns.
- Participate in virtual as well as client facing sales and marketing events.
- Cross selling and cross-referring CME products and services, identifying and referring opportunities within the Group.
- Diligently and consistently leverage the CRM system to manage and track sales outreach activity, creating synergies and transparency.
- Leverage internal and external data sources to track, analyse and report activities and performance against key metrics.

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of sales and/or client facing experience within trade facing functions of financial services, either at an exchange operator, bank, advisory, trading organisation or technology vendor.
- Pre-existing relevant client relationships within the advised customer segments required.
- The Manager will have a detailed understanding of Exchange Traded Futures and Options, including one or more areas of Equity, Interest rate, FX, Energy, Agriculture and Metals as well as OTC Cleared Financial products, cash markets and data services.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the market structure for Listed Exchange and OTC markets.
- Understand defined sales and product priorities, demonstrate a proactive willingness to engage with and understand customer trading and clearing needs.
- Demonstrate an ability to navigate challenging conversations and engage internal business line expertise, while preserving and enhancing client relationship.
- Ability to prioritise, manage, and execute responsibilities to meet or exceed individual and shared team objectives.
- Offer strong interpersonal skills, an ability to easily connect with clients and stakeholders verbally and in written form, with rigorous and timely follow-up.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Bloomberg, Salesforce CRM, and other industry databases.
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent).
