Are you a skilled financial professional with a knack for achieving targets while maintaining strong customer relationships? Our client is currently searching for a diligent and proactive Credit Officer to join their team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in delivering agreed financial goals and work collaboratively with the sales team and customers to optimize sales while effectively managing the risk of overdue debt.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Build strong, positive relationships with key customers; strive to understand their business needs and internal processes while enforcing credit policy and achieving financial targets
- Communicate with overdue customers to determine the reasons for non-payment and resolve issues preventing payment
- Negotiate payment plans with customers
- Closely monitor customer compliance with payment plans and adherence to payment commitments
- Ensure cash allocations are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Support the sales teams to ensure sales opportunities are maximised while minimising financial risk

**About You**:

- Relevant Tertiary qualifications or previous experience in a commercial credit role advantageous
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good computer literacy
- Experience with SAP Financial Modules (or similar ERP) preferred
- Strong influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Problem-solving aptitude
