**The Role**:
MaxMine is in a period of rapid growth and with the backing of Private Equity, this newly created position will be a key addition to support the growing Finance Function.

As the Finance Analyst, you will be reporting to the Finance Manager. You will have the opportunity to manage the month end process, support the forecasting and budgeting process, partnering with other parts of the business and significantly contribute to the evolution of the Finance function in the business.

**What your days will look like**:
**Month End**:

- Manage the end-to end month end reporting process, including liaising with external accountants
- Consolidation of 2 entities in Australia and South Africa
- Prepare supporting workpapers for balance sheet and key P&L accounts
- Prepare the monthly Board financial report

**Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis**:

- Support the execution of the Financial Reporting & Planning framework
- Analyse and report on material variances to budget or forecast
- Support the forecasting and budgeting process
- Cost Centre and Project reporting, including working with managers in identifying opportunities for cost savings and income generation/maximisation, ensuring robust challenge and scrutiny.
- Financial analysis of operational strategies to ensure efficient utilisation of resources, identifying opportunities to improve financial results.
- Support financial decision-making through the provision of timely, accurate and useful information to management.
- Assist with funding requirements and financial modelling

**Other**:

- Manage the annual financial audit process and liaise with the external auditors
- Assist with maintaining financial systems and tools, including Expensify, Clockify and Xero
- BAS Preparation
- Develop and maintain relationships with external accountants
- Assist with AP and AR from time to time
- Continuous process improvement initiatives

**About You**:
You have demonstrated experience of 2-4 years in either public practice or a commercial environment, with an analytical mindset and keen eye for detail. You are someone with high energy, who is committed to making a difference and driving improved outcomes for the organisation you work for. There is significant scope for learning and development, as well as meaningfully shaping the direction of how we do things with new and innovative approaches.

**Any Applicants Will Require**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting, Business/Commerce or related discipline.
- CA/CPA qualified, or working towards
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills
- Experience working in SaaS desired, but not essential
- Finance business partnering experience with managers and executives desired, but not essential
- Comfortable using multiple systems and tooling
- Comfortable working with large datasets to identify, transform and prepare data for presentation
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal
- Full Australian Working Right
