Sohi Produce is a farm in regional NSW that grows blueberries and blackberries of different varieties and aims to provide our customers with fresh and quality produce.
**Tasks**:
1. Assess the incoming produce for quality and grading process.
2. Monitoring factors like temperature, humidity, and cleanliness of the produce.
3. Monitor produce quality throughout washing and grading procedures.
4. Taking prompt corrective actions upon identifying quality issues during the control process or due to mechanical damage or grading quality and communicating with staff to keep them informed of quality issues.
5. Ensure accurate and timely record keeping of product quality control activities to ensure traceability, crucial for resolving quality concerns. Maintain records of maintenance activities and expenditure.
6. Managing waste by utilising proper residue disposal procedures.
7. Collaborating with farm managers and other team members regarding production, maintenance or dispatch procedures and issues.
8. Managing proper cool chain protocols during handling and dispatch by overseeing suitable storage and transportation conditions to uphold product freshness and prevent spoilage.
9. Adhering to standard operating procedures, to maintain consistency and quality in dispatching.
10. Ensuring staff is well trained and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in line with organizational standards.
11. Ensuring compliance with health, safety ang hygiene procedures throughout, packaging, grading, and transportation of produce.
12. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Eligibility:
- Have at least relevant AQF Cert III or Cert IV qualifications or equivalent.
- Have 2 Years of working experience in a similar role in a farm setting.
- Strong understanding of agricultural production processes.
- Proficiency in quality control and adherence to standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to coordinate with various departments and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Possess a keen eye for detail to oversee product quality.
- Strong organizational skills are also essential for managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $750,000.00 per year
