An excellent opportunity for you to join a large engineering services contractor who provide road and motorway operations & maintenance services to Transport for NSW (TfNSW) as part of a 15 year contract. Growth in the asset management team has created a new opportunity for a capable and motivated Bridge Inspector to join the team.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- A high degree of data collection from bridge / structures inspections, preparation of condition rating reports, and timely data input into the Asset Management System.
- Responsible for inspecting, assessing, and reporting on the status and condition of a wide range of structures (steel and concrete bridges and steel structures).
- Assist in planning upgrade & repair works and maintenance
- Ensure all required management systems are updated accurately with captured data including digital photographs
- Required to travel within the Sydney region outside normal working hours to avoid peak hour traffic (mostly early evenings but possibly weekends). Tool of trade vehicle provided.

**Your background & capabilities**:

- Ability to interpret and quantify asset data from construction drawings and plans
- Written communication skills including, sound spreadsheet and word processing abilities to prepare of correspondence, reports and proposals
- Experience in the inspection and condition assessment of civil assets
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member without supervision and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain databases, geographical information systems, asset management system
- Certificate IV in Civil Construction, or relevant experience in a related field
- Experience in TfNSW bridge inspection and assessment process is preferred
- TfNSW Bridge Inspection Procedure Level 2 Training is preferred.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $137,000.00 per year
