An opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing for a registered nurse (Adult) to join our highly committed School of Nursing as a full-time Lecturer.

We deliver the Pre-registration Nursing and Trainee Nursing Associate programmes at a number of sites, including Preston, Burnley and Westlakes, both as traditional degree programmes and also as apprenticeships.

Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and be educated to at least degree level. A master’s degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification is desirable. Utilising planning and organisational skills, communication and interpersonal skills the successful applicant will be able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Contemporary practice experience is essential, practice supervision and assessment of student nurses in practice is required. You’ll be committed to the success of your pre-registration nursing students and be able to show that you can effectively support learning and teaching in both the classroom and in practice.

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is based at our Westlakes Campus.
