**About The Red Shed OSHC**: **The Red Shed OSHC**provides care to the students of **Marryatville Primary School**and the wider community and is licensed to offer places for 150 children per session. We are supported by the school's Governing Council and school leadership as we see it as a direct extension of the education and care we provide throughout the day. **The opportunity**: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable person to join our team at **The Red Shed OSHC** as an **Assistant Director**. This is an exciting opportunity to assist in supporting our Out of School Hours Care program, while providing children with a safe and engaging environment. Our service offers **Before and After School Care**, along with **Vacation Care and Pupil Free/School Closure Days**. The successful applicant work a **minimum** of **30 hours per week** and will be employed on an **ongoing**and **part-time**basis from 2026 onwards. This contains approximately 20 contact hours and 10 admin hours. This involves three mornings and four afternoons per week. **The role**: - Responsible, in consultation with the director, for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of an appropriate program for individual children or groups. - Encourage family involvement and collaboration through building relationships with parents and caregivers. - Coordinate and direct the activities of employees engaged in the implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs. - Contribute through the director to the development of the service’s policies. - Coordinate service operations including Work Health and Safety, program planning and staff training. - Be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Service in the temporary absence of the Director and for management and compliance with the National Quality Standards, and all regulatory and statutory requirements. - Regularly review documentation to ensure compliance. - Assist with invoicing and processing Child Care Subsidy (claims) - Support with the management of student bookings. - Demonstrate an understanding of, and adherence to the service philosophy, policy and procedures. - An Approved Qualification as per ACECQA requirements - A minimum of one year of experience in an OSHC setting (preferably in a similar role) - An approved First Aid (HLTAID012/HLTAID004) Qualification - A current "Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care" (RRHAN-EC) Training Certificate - A current DCSI Working with Children Check - Food Safety Supervisor Certificate **Job Type**: Part-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Expected hours: No less than 30 per week Work Location: In person
