THE ROLE
The Branch Administration Officer is responsible for providing a range of administrative functions and support to Executive Mnagers and staff of the Hume Merri-bek Area. The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing has a dedicated focus on the community wellbeing and the social recovery of Victoria. The Department is working to deliver important work started before the pandemic, while building on opportunities it has presented to lead bold and innovative reform. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Liaise effectively with the Ministers Office, senior departmental management another government and non-government organisations and external clients so as to analyse their requirements, respond adequately, research possible resolutions and proactively raise issues.
- Effectively manage and maintain office systems, including creating new systems when appropriate
- Provide high quality reception, telephone inquiry, and referral service
