About usThe Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.About the roleThe Magistrates' Court of Victoria is seeking an experienced communications officer to deliver internal and external communications for our specialist courts and programs. The incumbent will also assist with our very busy daily media function.About youWe're looking for an experienced communications allrounder with a strong media background and more than five years' experience. Court reporting experience is mandatory. Knowledge of therapeutic justice would be highly regarded as would television/video production skills.You are an excellent writer with impeccable grammar who can work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. We need someone who can write for targeted audiences and develop key messages.Experience with Victorian Government event processes and documention is also mandatory.Ideally, you will have InDesign and Photoshop experience, as well as well-developed stakeholder management skills.How to apply
