**About the Role**
As a Counsellor, you will be responsible for delivering specialised counselling services that are human rights based, trauma-informed, strengths based and recovery oriented. You will work with individuals, families, and communities transitioning from conflict into settlement and safety. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive assessments, recommending treatments, and actively involving clients in their recovery journey.

**Job Requirements**
To be successful for this position, you should possess the following:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Counselling or Social Work
- Demonstrated experience with counselling and clinical interventions in a mental health service
- Experience working in community based mental health programs
- Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
- Understanding and sensitivity in providing support and counselling services to diverse clients
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a professional team
- Knowledge of, and a commitment to, the principles of social justice and human rights
- Current WA driver’s licence, police clearance and Working with Children Check clearance
- Residency status allowing unrestricted rights to work
