**Position Information**:
Singleton Public School aspires to promote a culture of high expectations to empower students, staff and community in achieving quality outcomes across all aspects of school life. Our vision is to enhance partnerships and collaborative practices that build and support a nurturing, inclusive, inspiring and engaging learning environment. Students and staff are challenged to be responsible, resilient and confident learners who continually aim to improve. Our current enrolments are 400 students, 15% of which identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Singleton Public School is situated in the midst of Wonnarua Country located 60km west of Newcastle.
**Selection Criteria**:
- In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with proven capacity to balance exemplary classroom practices and management with the complexities of a leadership role.
- Evidence of proactive, visible and approachable leadership, with experience in building positive and inclusive wellbeing practices with students, staff and parents across our culturally rich school community and wider network.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning- 6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies**Conditions**:
