Female Disability Support Workers

Victoria Point, Australia QSSS Full time

We have an amazing opportunity to work with two Clients in a combined long shift If this is the type of work that stands out to you, read on about our incredible Clients. An amazing opportunity to secure ongoing shifts for yourself in this ever-changing landscape of disability. There is plenty of time between shifts for travel that can also be claimed in your tax returns each year.

Our first Client enjoys the faster things in life like auto racing and drag racing. When he’s not pursuing these interests, he enjoys staying up to date with current world affairs as well as partaking in gaming, he loves Sci - Fi. He is also a very private person, who would benefit from a Support Worker who respects and values his right to privacy. The ideal Support Worker for our dog loving, (yes his dog is very gentle and pretty much stays on his bed), Client is someone who has a keen attention to detail, reliable, and takes initiative and wont grumble at the task of some housework.

The role will involve supporting our wheelchair user with a spinal injury with personal care including bowel therapy (experience in bowel care is required), and domestic assistance.

The shifts with will be **2-hr shifts weekdays and weekends during the morning 8:30am-10:30am**

Our second Client is an older gentleman who is outgoing and awake before the birds so his ideal Support Worker starts at 5am to provide personal care supports so he can make his way to his favorite café for a bite of breakfast and a good cuppa tea.

This Participant self-identifies as a “part quad” who requires personal care, bowel therapy and bladder support, and assistance with hoisting. Due to an acquired brain injury, he may occasionally have mood fluctuations. If you have a good sense of humour, a bit of light hearted banter and a dash of patience redirects things quickly.

Shifts are available 7 days a week as follows**:5:00am - 7:00am and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Every second day: 11:30am-3:00pm.**
