**The Medical Education Registrar (MER) will work closely with the Director of Postgraduate Medical Education (DPME) and Directors of Clinical Training (DCT) with Medical Education Officer to provide assistance with the postgraduate medical education activities including pre-vocational surgical skills, Pre-SET preparation, hospital orientation, mandatory training, a hospital-wide education program, education programs for international medical graduates and simulation sessions. The Education Registrar is expected to provide supervision, support and mentoring for junior doctors.

In 2026 Medical Education at Joondalup Health Campus will be seeking to fill all three positions. A proportion of these positions will include a 50% clinical workload and 50% education role as a Medical, Surgical or Specialty Registrar.

The position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team and a commitment to the welfare and education of junior doctors with prior experience as registrar.

Registered as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Authority (Medical Board)
