NES Fircroft are working with a Major Oil & Gas Operator looking for a HR Investigations Case Specialist to join their Employee Relations department.

**Working hours**: CWW 9 hour days, 9 day fortnight.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Case Specialist - Investigations to join the Business HR (BHR) Operations team on an 18-month temporary assignment.
The Case Specialist for Investigations will be responsible for delivering grievance management process, working closing with BHR and Legal teams, the company's leadership and external stakeholders. The role will conduct formal workplace investigations and provide advice on grievance resolution processes, contributing to a positive employee experience whilst ensuring compliance with company policy and the relevant legislative frameworks.
Other duties include managing and/or contributing to the execution of special projects as required.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Grievance management: conduct frontline information gathering interviews, formal workplace investigations, mediation and coaching where required. Advise HR Business Partners and supervisors on grievance management processes.
- Maintain confidential and secure records
- Use existing investigation expertise to contribute to continuous improvement
- Advise on point of escalation and activation for external service providers and manage briefing/debriefing of grievance matters in their engagements within the organization
- Provide advice to HR colleagues and business leaders across a wide range of employee relations topics/issues as required
- Engage with Legal to reduce exposure to workforce related risks and determine risk mitigation strategies
- Build awareness/knowledge and manage country specific training across the business in relation to discrimination, harassment, bullying and EEO (including legislation, responsibilities for supervisors, and expectations for all employees)
- Undertake special projects as required, including management of the Contact Officer program and key training programs
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
- Ability to autonomously manage complex and confidential employee matters to deliver quality outcomes with a demonstrated combination of poise, sensitivity, assertiveness and tact to build trust and psychological safety
- A people focus - to proactively improve the experience of all parties involved in an investigation. Ensure individuals feel safe, supported and respected throughout the process
- Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail - demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, including writing formal investigation reports
- Sound experience conducting grievance investigations and demonstrated ability to successfully facilitate resolution of complex interpersonal conflict; is not intimidated in difficult situations; credibly provides counsel using data and relevant facts; viewed as neutral, fair and unbiased
- Knowledge of Australian discrimination, harassment and bullying (EEO) principles and related legislation
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders across all organizational levels both internally & externally
- Project management capability and experience in facilitation of training programs beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to foster a safe, respectful and inclusive culture
