**About the role**

Join ACMI as a casual VX Guide for our new exhibition _Game Worlds_. Opening in September 2025 _Game Worlds _is our new playable exhibition featuring 30 iconic games including World of Warcraft, The Sims and Neopets.
ACMI's VX Guides are responsible for operational delivery of _Game Worlds_ and our other public facing programs. We are currently recruiting for VX Guides to join our Front of House and Ticketing teams.
- VX Guide - Front of House (FOH): in this role you will perform gallery invigilation, deliver talks, tours and introductions to visiting groups as required.
- VX Guide - Ticketing: in addition to FOH shifts this role also works in ticketing welcoming visitors, providing information about events/activities, selling tickets to films/exhibitions/events and processing memberships.

**What you'll bring to the role**
- Demonstrated experience in delivering high quality customer service with the ability to confidently sell and promote the museum's paid offers.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage members of the public by presenting a working knowledge of exhibition concepts to enhance the visitor experience. Experience delivering talks and tours to groups.
- The ability to operate calmly and effectively in an environment of high visitor volumes, including school groups, ensuring the safety of visitors and exhibition works.
- For ticketing roles we're looking for ticketing experience, preferably using Tessitura, with the ability to process sales and reconcile takings.

- This Grade 2 role is offered on a casual basis with a casual hourly rate of $35.83 plus super and allowances. ACMI is looking for flexible team members who are available to work weekdays, weekends and/or evenings. A current Victorian Working with Children Check is required for successful applicants.
