It’s an exciting time for our Medical Records and Health Information teams as we transition to Digital Medical Records. Due to this transition, we now have Clinical Coder positions available across our Brisbane Metro Hospitals.- Joining our team as a Clinical Coder, you will be responsible for the assignment of accurate and timely clinical codes to inpatient episodes of care, through analysis of patient record documentation. With our diverse case mix, we have approximately 2000 discharges annually.- Reporting to the Group Clinical Coding Manager, you will identify and pursue clinical documentation deficiencies, monitor the health record for accuracies such as admission data and the health record format and critically analyse coding and AR-DRG information.**You will Need**:
- Bachelor of Health Information Management (HIM) or equivalent HIMAA Accredited Clinical Coding Certification or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of ICD-10-AM, ACHI, ACS and AR-DRG’s
- Experience coding in a hospital environment with a varied casemix
- Experience with 3M Codefinder software
- High level of knowledge in medical terminology
