Wanted: Support Workers

Location: Caboolture and Surrounding Areas

**Duties**:

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a variety of settings, such as nursing homes, residential facilities, or private homes.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Support individuals in participating in recreational and social activities.
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Assist with household tasks, such as cleaning and meal preparation.
- Document and report any changes in behavior or health status to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

**Skills**:

- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required to assist individuals with mobility limitations.
- Knowledge of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and experience providing personal care assistance.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in childcare or nursing is a plus.
- Familiarity with lifting systems and equipment is preferred.

**Job Types**: Casual, Contract

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
