Great new opportunity for a Laborer/ Pipe Layer to develop their career and up-skill within our project team based in Epping.
About the Role

Opportunities are available for reliable and ambitious Civil Labourers/ Pipe Layers with a strong work ethic and “team first focus”. We are based in Epping, with most of our work in the Western and Northern suburbs. Your hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm + Overtime.

Experience and knowledge in Civil construction industry with and understanding of sewer, water drainage and gas is desirable. However, we are also looking to give opportunity to those who are keen on starting a career in the Civil Construction industry.

These positions are full time with training and career progression available for those willing to work hard and a desire to be the best they can be. Full PPE is provided.

You will be responsible for assisting the Crew leader to carry out all duties associated with the construction of water and gas infrastructure.

**Duties**:

- Assist with bedding and laying of water and gas pipes
- Maintain clean work area including tools and equipment.
- Assist in wrapping pipes and fittings
- Poly welding
- Operating compaction equipment such as rammers, plate vibrators etc.
- Loader operator
- Comply with the personal and public safety practices.
- Assist in any other work-related tasks as directed by the Foreman

Skills & Experience:

- Prior experience in civil labouring and pipe laying advantageous (main, sewer main and storm water)
- Hold a current red/white card
- Hold a current Drivers License and have Reliable Transport (HR truck license advantageous)
- Operator tickets and or HR truck license advantageous
- Sound understanding of all Occupational Health and Safety procedures
- Experience in trench and shoring, building manholes and storm water pits preferable
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Great attitude and willingness to learn
