V- Operational Team Member (Volunteer/Unpaid Position)

Purpose of the Role

The Adult Program Assistant (Program/Focus) provides support and assistance to Leaders for group activities and programs to meet the needs of the attendees and provides assistance as required to the Program Leader related to Group activities.

- Key Tasks Key Activities and Expectations:

- Assist in facilitation of program activities
- Under the direction of the Program Leader, assists in the facilitation of group activity
- Respond to individual needs effectively.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve best outcomes.
- (Street Teams) Visit local community spaces in the mapped area allocated to you.
- Facilitating transportation for people/goods under direction of Ministry leader/Corps Officer as required.
- Confidentiality of participant information is maintained. Maintain confidentiality of interactions during group time.
- Engage and manage the group dynamics and individuals needs and enjoyment of the program.
- Ensure supportive and caring environment for attendees.
- (Street Teams) Provide basic First Aid support as required within recognised skillset.
- Assisting site Manager/Supervisor with other tasks as directed.
- Confidentiality of information is maintained.
- Provide Quality Customer Service
- Exhibiting professional image of TSA, displaying professionalism and integrity at all times.
- Accurate information provided to customers.
- Refer people to appropriate Salvation Army services. Follow up with Manager if unsure.
- Listen carefully, and acknowledge and refer concerns, issues or queries to Manager. Financial Management, Maintain Petty Cash and Client
- Personal Details
- Petty cash tin is appropriately maintained and balances at all times. - Processing credit card transactions.
- Payment of invoices and reconciliation.
- Client personal details are handled as per privacy guidelines and privacy and confidentiality of client information and personal details are maintained at all times.
- Key Tasks Key Activities and Expectations
- Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment
- Immediately report any health and safety concerns, notifiable incidents and near misses, to Senior Team Leader and ensure any hazards are controlled until rectified.
- Ensure hazard, incident and accident form is completed when required in a timely manner.
- All volunteers are to be mindful of their own health and to take care of the health and safety of others.
- Volunteers are required to comply with all TSA work, health and safety policies and procedures as applicable to their workplace.
- Qualifications and Experience Requirements for the Position
- Experience in relevant field highly regarded but not essential
- First Aid certificate highly regarded but not essential
- Mandatory Requirements of the Position
- Complete The Salvation Army (TSA) Mission Volunteer registration, induction and training - TSA is a ChildSafe workplace.
- Integrity checks as required for the role.
