***We currently have multiple opportunities for some super stars to join our Curatorial Team:

- 1 Full time Aquarist / Keeper
- Multiple casual positions for Aquarists and Assistant Aquarists
- Casual Aquarium Divers

These roles work within the Curatorial team to ensure best practice animal husbandry as well as provide an amazing experience to our guests. You will have the opportunity to work across all exhibits within the aquarium.
Please note: These roles will require regular weekend work, with our peak periods being school and public holiday periods.

**About the Roles**

Aquarist

What will you be doing on the daily, besides having a fin-tastic time? Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Performing various tasks across the aquarium - daily husbandry, management, and welfare of the animal collection
- Developing and maintaining excellent and innovative animal exhibits that deliver an exceptional visitor experience
- Food preparation and feeding of fish and marine animals
- Cleaning and maintaining the exhibits and quarantine tanks
- Implementing continually high levels of cleanliness of all the displays, quarantine and food preparation areas, plus associated plant and workshops.
- Maintaining and develop displays lighting, signage and interactive displays in the displays area
- Operating a variety of Life Support Systems

Dive Team

We're looking for some new underwater superstars Your duties will include:

- Running daily dive operations, delivering consistently high-quality guest experiences
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant dive industry and company standards
- Delivering safety briefs, completing in-water skill sessions while ensuring the safety of guests, staff and animals
- General administration, including completion of accurate and up to date records for dive logs and customer medical declaration forms
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene of all diving equipment and associated areas
- Manage the efficient and seamless transition of divers through the Shark Dive experience
- Assisting to keep all our aquarium tanks and exhibits in tip top shape

- Agile to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills

Aquarists will have:

- A relevant science qualification, or demonstrated equivalent experience within an aquarium/aquaculture or zoological environment
- In addition, you will be passionate about marine animals with prior knowledge OR the enthusiasm and passion to embrace ALL things aquaculture
- Note: The aquarist role will require regular diving and appropriate certifications for diving will be highly advantageous.

Divers will need:

- As a minimum hold an Active Open Water Scuba Diving Instructor status (SDI/SSI/PADI or equivalent).
- Current First Aid, CPR & Oxygen Therapy Provider Certificates.
- Equipment maintenance, air filling, and compressor operations are a plus but not essential.
