Whitcombe is pleased to be representing an international leader in energy market research, analytics, training, and consulting in their search for an Energy Market Modelling Manager to join their fast-growing and dynamic team.

Ideally based in Melbourne, we're on the lookout for someone with experience in energy modelling, significant exposure to the Australian energy market (preferably the NEM), and strong analytical, research, and/or model development experience.

**We're looking for someone with the following key skills & experience**:

- 4-8 years of modelling experience and exposure to the Australian energy market, along with at least 3 years of strong analytical experience
- Previous consulting experience not essential but highly regarded
- Intermediate-to-advanced mathematical modelling skills in PLEXOS or any other dispatch modelling platform, such as MATLAB or Mathematica
- Experience effectively and collaboratively managing teams
- Strong presentation and communication skills with proven problem-solving abilities
- An in-depth understanding of the energy wholesale market and NEM dispatch modelling methodology, along with experience in running very large dispatch models and formulating new modelling algorithms from scratch preferred (though not required)
