We are on the lookout for a dynamic and seasoned legal leader to join our team as the Head of Legal - Wholesale, Infrastructure & Corporate. This pivotal role involves providing expert legal guidance on our most complex and strategic projects, while leading a high-performing team of legal professionals.
As a senior member of our legal function, you will collaborate closely with the Deputy General Counsel and General Counsel, playing a crucial role in shaping our legal strategy, driving business success, and ensuring effective management of legal risks across wholesale, infrastructure, and corporate matters.
**Responsibilities**:
- Legal Leadership: Provide high-level legal advice and support on the business unit’s most complex or strategic projects, transactions, and initiatives.
- Strategic Contribution: Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes, ensuring legal considerations are embedded in business strategy.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the legal team in business unit leadership meetings, providing clear and pragmatic legal insights to senior stakeholders.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the legal team meets its objectives, deadlines, and service delivery standards, while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
**Skills**:
- Qualified legal professional with 10+ years of post-qualification and experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team and manage through change.
- Experience with large enterprise sales and infrastructure contracts.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
