Balmain Care For Kids has been supporting children and families for over 25 years. We deliver high-quality care and education and also provide an integrated service, which includes family support services and early intervention. The organisation has 2 long day care centres (a Nursery and a Preschool) and an OOSH centre in close proximity, that works collaboratively to support all families. With natural outdoor surroundings, the organisation has a focus on sustainability. We also have unique indoor “outdoor” areas purpose-built to cater for those rainy days.

We are seeking an experienced Room Leader to lead one of our rooms within our Nursery campus, which has 5 learning classrooms that cater for children between the ages of birth to 3 years.

**_Your new role_**
As Room Leader you will be in charge of the day to day management of this learning room, supporting the centre's holistic educational focus and embedding your own philosophy into the environment. We are advocates of allowing children to make decisions as capable and confident learners.

You will be confident in mentoring and inspiring an experienced team of educators, using your skills to promote a collaborative and positive atmosphere within your team and centre-wide.

This is a full-time position and you will be supported in your role by a highly experienced Management team, consisting of Centre Directors, a full-time Education Leader, Compliance officer, and Area Manager who will be able to support you with your own professional and career development goals.

**_What you'll need to succeed_**
- Experience as a Room Leader (preferred but not essential),
- ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification (Cert 3/Diploma/Degree),
- A current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates,
- A dedication to inclusive practices and working with children and families,
- Strong leadership and management skills,
- Excellent communication Skills,
- Understanding of OWNA (preferred but not essential),
- Proficient computer literacy skills,
- Outstanding knowledge of the EYLF and NQS

**Salary**: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
