DonutJam is currently seeking a hands on Café Manager/Head Barista to manage the the day-to-day operations of the store.

Some of the Café Manager’s responsibilities include open and closing of café, rostering, hiring and ongoing management of new wait staff and baristas, inventory management, processing payments using the café's Point of Sale System, making bank deposits, ensuring that the café is clean and well-presented at all times and all relevant food health and safety regulations at met.

The Café Manager must demonstrate exemplary management and leadership skills and ensure that the café staff carries out all duties efficiently and to adhere to excellent customer service standards.

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Managing day-to-day operations of the café
- Responsibility of open and closing of café to set hours
- Rostering, hiring and ongoing management of new wait staff and baristas
- Training employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment
- Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as required
- Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
- Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences
- Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
- Comply with all Food Safety Standards and hygiene rules in preparation of foods.
- Ensure all café areas are clean and tidy
- Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation

Knowledge, skills and behavior required
- Work experience as a Café Manager
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of food handling
- Quality control
- Strong business acumen within the hospitality industry
- Hold a Food Handling certificate
- Availability to work within opening hours that may be sporadic (including weekends and holidays)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- High quality customer service attitude
- Knowledge of food handling procedures
- Understanding of WHS procedures
- Additional certification (e.g. in Business Administration or Hospitality) is a plus.
- Must have own vehicle

Desirable:

- Food Handling certificate
- Barista Certificate

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
