Site Supervisor

**About Us**

Gunther Civil began in 2011 by servicing the Pilbara region of Western Australia out of the Karratha office. After successfully delivering many civil projects throughout the Pilbara, Gunther Civil expanded its service region to include Newcastle and the Hunter Valley in New South Wales. In 2016, Gunther Civil Pty Ltd acquired Coolgarra Contracting and CK Quarries to further expand the companies’ capabilities as well as servicing Far North Queensland.

**About the Role**

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor for our expanding operations in Lake Macquarie. This is a hands on role and you must be able to keep your finger on the pulse in your area of control as you will be accountable for:

- Ensuring all operators have the training and tools required to perform their jobs safely, develop and coach your team to improve knowledge and skills.
- Daily site operations, happening efficiently and effectively
- Managing subcontractors, enabling them to meet their scope of works on time to spec
- Ensuring both mobile and stationery plant are operating efficiently and safely.
- Planning consumable and maintenance requirements in advance, work with the procurement and maintenance team to maintain timely supply lines.
- Work with project lead to plan effective and realistic time frames to complete project goals.
- Ability to prioritise and adjust on the fly.
- Willing/able to jump in on the ground as needed eg to demonstrate, hotseat etc.

The position is local to Lake Macquarie - from time to time we do have short scope works away from the local area or interstate, please indicate your ability/willingness to be away for short periods.

**To be successful at this you role you will need**:
Previous mining / civil supervisor experience.
Experience managing a team.
Ability to lead by example and be accountable for your teams performance.
Ability to Schedule and plan all aspects of a worksite, from employees to machines and consumables to meet multiple and conflicting deadlines.

Mobile plant tickets in multiple machines.
