Bondi BASC is a community-based Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service that provides Before, After & Vacation Care programs for up to 200 children per day. Our team includes a Managing Director, Director, 2IC (Coordinator), two Educational Leaders, an Accounts Manager, a WH&S Officer, an Inclusion Support Coordinator, and a Health and Hygiene Coordinator.

Essential Criteria
- Diploma in School Age Education and Care or equivalent
- Minimum of three years’ experience in OSHC
- Available to work 38 hours per week
- Current Working with Children Check
- Child Protection qualification
- First Aid Certificate
- Thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework for School-Aged Care, My Time Our Place and the National Quality Standards.
- Experience with childcare management software
- Effective communicator with highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills
- A talent for engaging others and building a positive culture and a willingness to learn
Position Objective Your role as the BASC Coordinator (2ic) is to:

- Assist the BASC Director in the supervision of the day-to-day running of the BASC service efficiently and professionally.
- Mentor, lead and inspire our team to achieve success.
- Play a pivotal role in building relationships within the centre
- Ensure implementation and compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), which encompasses the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations and the National Quality Standards. Additionally, compliance with the framework for school-aged care, My Time, Our Place.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Director in controlling all aspects of centre management.
- Provide leadership to the team in conjunction with the Director, managing day to day issues and resolving issues as they arise.
- Be familiar and aware of the Director's role, to be confident in running the centre in their absence
- Ensure all policies and regulatory requirements are embedded within the Centres, procedures and practices.
- Effectively liaise with all educators in their daily procedures.
- Assist and support the Director in forming and maintaining partnerships with children, families, staff and the local community
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Be actively involved in staff meetings and the development and implementation of the Centre's Quality Improvement Plan.
- Assist Educational Leader with the implementation of the program and subsequent evaluations and reflections
- Mentor and support the development of BASC educators so they have the knowledge and confidence to achieve their role as educators to the highest standard
- Lead and present at weekly team meetings and Parent Committee meetings
- Set and maintain an excellent standard of care in School-Aged education

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
