We are building a new workforce for **Western Sydney**and are seeking motivated and dependable **Loading Dock Security Officers** to join our growing team.
**About the role**:
As a Loading Dock Security Officer, you will be responsible for access control, screening vehicles and persons entering the site, including deliveries presenting at the loading dock, checking and validating access credentials and delivery dockets, ensuring only approved access and maintaining a secure and efficient loading dock environment.
We have full-time positions available on a 16/7 rotating roster (8-hour shifts, 0600-2200, Monday to Sunday, with flexibility to work additional hours (overtime) as required. Flexible standby (relieving officer) and casual positions are also available.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Continuous patrolling and surveillance of the facility perimeter, primarily in a vehicle with foot patrol security checks at nominated locations
- Observe and monitor the physical perimeter or identified property or infrastructure to deter and detect any actual or potential perimeter breaches
- Observe and monitor the physical operational environment including activities on site for compliance with site regulations
- Immediately escalate and report any anomalies
- Respond to security incidents including alarms as required by control room communications
- Participate in emergency response including as a warden
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting stakeholders with a professional demeanour.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Demonstrated safe driving behaviours
- Customer service experience, with excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to interpret legislative frameworks and understand operational documents including operational plans,emergency plans, safety management systems and procedures
- High level observation skills,and attention to detail including sustained focus (vigilance)
- Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and work under on-site supervision in accordance with a timetable
- Ability to multi-task efficiently, and maintain strong customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including advanced radio communications
- Impeccable presentation
- Full availability Monday to Sunday day and night shifts.
**Qualifications**:
- NSW Security Licence, 1A minimum
- Current Class C Driver licence
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- General Induction for Construction (White Card), or willingness to obtain
- Successful medical assessments,drug and alcohol screening, and national police checks (paid pre-employment checks)
- Security clearance (desirable) or ability to obtain (clearances paid)
- Safe driving record (consent to a drivers licence check)
- Willingness to undertake additional Certificate II qualifications and required courses (paid training).
