An exciting casual opportunity is available for highly motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Orderlies to join our team in Theatres and Cardiac Catheter Lab.

This role will provide exceptional non-clinical patient care, support the nursing team, and contribute to an industry-leading environment. Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work, including morning and afternoon shifts.

**Key functions include**:

- Provide exceptional customer/patient service by safely transporting/lifting patients, communicating with clarity and empathy, collecting and delivering specimens, equipment and consumables between departments / wards, and by restocking supplies and consumables.
- Prioritise patient safety by ensuring patient transportation equipment (including wheelchairs, portable oxygen and suction) is safe and in good working order, and by being an active member of the emergency response team.
- Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture and by liaising with the emergency response team, nursing team and other staff to create an experience that makes a difference.
- Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope’s policies and processes, code of conduct and by participating in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education.
- Maintain skills and standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
- Supports Healthscope’s safety and quality improvement and achievement of accreditation by actively participating in team meetings and quality activities. Ensure compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.

**About You**

You will be professional with excellent interpersonal skills, a patient-centric focus, highly developed customer service skills, and the ability to prioritise and organise work, with mínimal supervision.

To be successful in this role, you will hold:

- Experience in a hospital environment
- Excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills
- High-level attention to detail
- Flexibility, reliability, and ability to work under pressure
- Certificate 3 in Health Services Assistance or Certificate 2 in Health Support Services are desired
