** The Opportunity**
As a Welfare Assistant with our Marine Animal Team, you’ll play an important role in maintaining the highest standards of care and cleanliness across our animal exhibits. You’ll help keep our exhibits sparkling clean, prepare enrichment items that keep our animals curious and content, and ensure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. While you won’t be handling the animals directly, your work helps create a safe and vibrant home for them, and an unforgettable experience for every guest who visits

** Key Responsibilities**
As part of the team, you’ll help make sure our animals and exhibits are at their best by:

- Conducting daily cleaning and sanitation of animal areas, food preparation spaces, and equipment in line with strict hygiene standards.
- Assisting with exhibit upkeep, including landscaping, pool care, and general maintenance to ensure pristine presentation.
- Preparing and delivering approved enrichment items that promote curiosity and wellbeing among our animals.
- Maintaining accurate records of cleaning, maintenance, and enrichment activities.
- Adhering to workplace health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for animals, team members, and guests.
- Supporting the Marine Animal Specialist Team with operational and behind-the-scenes tasks.
