Metal Fabricator

Boomart Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time metal fabricator to join our team.

Tasks and duties:

- studying and understanding blueprints, drawings and specifications for steel, aluminium and plastic signage fabrication;
- cut steel, aluminium and plastic using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines in preparation for assembly;
- shaping and bending metal sections in accordance with the specifications;
- welding metal sections using metal inert gas (MIG) welding and other welding techniques, and examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision;
- bolting and riveting metal parts;
- cleaning and polishing the finished products in preparation for spray painting;
- drilling, wiring, screwing in preparation for installation;
- cleaning and tidying the workspace and recycling any reusable material.

Requirements for applicants:

- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
- 2 yearS MIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- The ability to work in a team
- Experience with signage and onsite installation (preferred)

**Salary**: $80,000.00 per annum

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
