We are currently recruiting **casual **and** full-time** youth justice workers to start at Cherry Creek and Parkville Youth Justice Precincts, our secure facilities housing young people on remand or sentenced to a period of imprisonment.

As a youth justice worker on a night shift, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our facility overnight.

Duties include **CCTV monitoring**, **compliance reporting**, and** responding to alarms** and **perimeter searches**.

To be successful, you will be a keen **problem solver** with great **situational awareness**.

**Cherry Creek** is in Little River, just off the Princess Freeway. It's an easy drive from many of Melbourne's western suburbs, as well as Geelong. Staff can access onsite parking.

**Parkville** is in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne. It is easily accessible by public transport and offers staff car parking. The facility accommodates young people (boys and girls) from 10 years old to 22 years old.

**Eligibility**

To be considered for a youth justice worker role you must be either:

- an Australian citizen - a birth certificate, citizenship certificate or current passport is required as proof of eligibility
- a permanent resident of Australia
- a New Zealand citizen who has entered Australia on a valid passport, or eligible to work in Australia for a period of more than six months.

You will also need to pass a health and fitness assessment. Learn how your current fitness levels match up and the best ways to prepare.
- Current First Aid Certification (HLTAID011 is preferred, or the Provide Basic Emergency Life Support course - HLTAID002 at a minimum)
- Current CPR
- Hold a valid Working with Children Check (Employee)

A driver licence is desirable but not mandatory.
