The Shared Chambers Support position provides additional assistance on a needs basis to the chambers of FCFCOA Case Management Judges and other FCFCOA Judges’ chambers for Division 1 and Division 2.
This role will undertake a variety of administrative, case management and legal work as required.
The Shared Chambers Support will provide administrative assistance to the chambers of a Case Management Judge as a priority but will also provide support where there is a genuine need for additional assistance to other Judges’ chambers. A need for assistance may arise, for example, due to an increase in the volume of work in a particular chamber or work arising from a special high-volume list. The location of the Shared Chambers Support does not preclude assistance being provided remotely to Judges at other registry locations.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist chambers staff in the day-to-day running of chambers including responding to enquiries.
- Assist chambers staff in updating the Court’s case management system and the Judge in the preparation of orders and typing of judgments.
- Undertake court room support duties, including court officer duties.
- Undertake legal research as required by the Judge.
- Other duties as required.

**Selection Criteria**
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills, professionalism and an ability to appropriately handle information.
- A demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as a team player, with well-developed organisation, prioritisation and time management skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including being able to demonstrate flexibility, innovation and sound judgement in decision making.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, including proofreading skills.
- Proven legal and administrative skills working in a legal environment and/or law graduate with strong academic record.

**Formal Qualifications**
Completion of a law degree.
