**Job Overview** Due to increase in business in both our recently opened Zarraffas Coffee Drive Thru stores in Toowoomba QLD, we are seeking passionate and dedicated Baristas to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to connect with customers and deliver exceptional service will contribute to the overall experience at our establishment. **Duties** - Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation. - Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the store. - Assist with food preparation, adhering to food safety standards at all times. - Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and efficiently while providing recommendations when needed. - Handle cash transactions and operate the till with basic maths skills for accurate billing. - Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service. - Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals. **Requirements**: - Previous experience in a barista or customer service role is preferred but not essential. - Basic maths skills for handling transactions and making change. - Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. - Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with customers. - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required. - Must have own transport, or support to arrive for early morning ( 4.00AM ) starts and evening finishes ( 8.30PM) - Ability to commit to shifts, and complete them. - must have availability for a minimum of one weekend shift per week. - seeking staff for multiple shifts per week, not "one or two". - previous applicants need not apply - Permanent Part Time and Full Time positions will be offered after qualifying period if all requirements are met, for suitable applicants We operate under the FAST FOOD AWARD and all appropriate penalties and overtime are paid as per this award. Pays range from $10.56 to $27.55 dependent on age, plus all applicable loadings.
