**About the role**
Our client, a leading steel reinforcement manufacturer is looking for a motivated Junior Scheduler. As a scheduler, you will be responsible for providing efficient and accurate reinforcing bar bending schedules that meet customer satisfaction and project requirements. You will need to be confident in interpreting and comprehending construction drawings to produce bar lists for manufacturing of reinforced steel. Part of your role will also be to produce marking plans for placement of reinforced steel on constructions sites.
**Responsibilities**:
- Interpret all project relevant documentation to produce accurate Bar Lists and Marking Plans for manufacturing and placement purposes.
- Produce RFI’s as required to enable accuracy in detailing.
- Maintain a filing system for Drawings, RFI’s, Schedules and Marking Plans within a Project/Client file.
- Maintain a scheduling calendar to ensure that Bar Lists and Marking Plans are produced to meet delivery dates and production lead-times.
- Liaising with Sales Representative, Production Manager and Logistic Department to work as a team to ensure customer is looked after on all aspects.
- Investigate, plan, and implement new methods to improve quality of Scheduling, and Efficiency in Scheduling.
- Assist production with manufacturing errors relating to shape codes.
- Report to Scheduling Manager on the performance of the QMS when required; on opportunities for improvement; on change requirements; and on innovations.
**Requirements**:
- Read and interpret Structural and Architectural drawings
- Produce marking plans in digital or hardcopy format
- Read project programs and extract relevant information
- Produce Request for Information (RFI’s) as required.
