**Competitive Salary**:Band Level 5A $80,620.19 pro rata (+11.5% super)
**Location**:Corporate Centre in Sandringham, and Peterson Youth Centre, Highett.

**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Youth Worker to join our Youth Services team. The Youth Worker is responsible for developing, facilitating and evaluating a range of youth engagement programs and events that are responsive to the needs of young people aged 10 - 25 years and their families. You will also be required to work some evenings, depending on service need.

You will be responsible for:

- Youth Focused Programs
- Public Housing youth engagement activities
- Social media youth engagement content
- Supporting school-based activities
- Co-lead FriYays Drop-in program on a rotational basis

**Key Selection Criteria**:

- Diploma (or higher) qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Welfare Work or a related Social Science course.
- At least two years’ experience in youth services provision or related field.
- Experience in youth program and/or event design, implementation and evaluation.
- Experience in evidence-based practice to meet the needs of young people.
- Support young people at activities and programs and make appropriate referrals to external agencies where necessary
- Current Victorian drivers licence, access to a safe and currently registered vehicle with third party property damage insurance as a minimum.

**Mandatory pre-employment requirements**:

- Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
- Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check
- Be willing to undertake a psychometric assessment.
