We are a small bakery specialising in sourdough bread and pastries with lots of growth ahead in cake production. We have a tight menu, but what we do, we do well.

**We are seeking an experienced maker and baker of cakes.**

Minimum 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen (in bread, viennoiserie or as a chef). But also happy to chat otherwise.

Part-time for 1-2 days to start.
Day shifts, weekend availability for 1 day minimum (possible early morning start).

Potential to evolve into full-time as the section and production demand grows with the option to also learn bread and viennoiserie.

**Essential**:recipe development is key to the independent running of this section and contributing to long term growth for the business. Managing ordering and knowledge of produce seasonality. Previous experience in larger scale cake production would be a dream.

**Skills valued**: attention to detail, a real hunger to learn, not accepting of mediocrity and a keen palate is a must. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a small team.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 8-16 per week

**Salary**: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

**Experience**:

- Bread / Pastry / Chef: 2 years (preferred)
