Our Governance and Risk Advisory division has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced internal audit or governance and risk professional to help lead the team in this exciting time as they continues to experience significant growth.

You will complete client work and manage projects across internal audit and governance and risk advisory services, gaining exposure to a wide range of industries including health, education, and local government. You will provide the consultant team members with support and guidance, ensuring all work is prepared to a high standard and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

This role will provide you with variety and challenging, rewarding work, allowing you to thrive and make meaningful impact in the team and wider firm.

**The Assistant Manager is responsible for**:

- Managing the completion of internal audits, governance, or risk projects in full within allocated deadlines and ensure exceptional service is provided and client expectations are met
- Evaluating clients’ key compliance, safety, risk, and integrity frameworks as part of the internal audit delivery or in support of other governance and risk projects
- Assist with running and facilitating client meetings and/or workshops and support the reporting to client governance committees on project outcomes
- Preparing constructive and practical recommendations to improve processes, controls and reduce risk
- Providing clarity of expectations and outcomes for team members in delegating work and provide support and guiding to ensure team members are appropriately developed to have the skills to thrive in their roles

**Our ideal new team member will have**:

- Bachelor of Commerce/Business or similar undergraduate degree
- Prior experience in either governance and risk or internal audit
- Experience in health, education, local government, aged car or not-for-profit highly regarded
- Project management experience and/or experience with compliance framework advantageous
- Prior experience in supporting a team
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills
