**About the Centre/Service**

CDPS is a community-run, not-for-profit Kindergarten. We provide ACECQA Exceeding Rated 3 and 4 year old sessional Kindergarten programs. Located on the edge of community parklands, we provide a unique and longstanding service within the Surrey Hills community. At CDPS we are committed to: Collaboration and building positive relationships with children, their families and the wider community; Promoting equity and respect for each child’s individuality autonomy and independence and interdependence; Encouraging and inspiring children’s thinking and individual skills; Providing a child safe environment where children are safe and feel safe and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives; Promoting and protecting the cultural safety and the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, children with a disabilities/directed needs and children experiencing vulnerability. Our 4YO Program is a rotational and made up of 3 rotational groups where each group attends two days of 7.5 hours of Kindergarten per week.

**Description**
- This is a fixed-term, part-time Educator role c**ommencing in January 2025** and **concluding in December 2025** with opportunity to continue in 2026 and beyond. We are seeking an active team member who will support the delivery of high quality early childhood education. This includes:

- Developing strong relationships with children and families at the service
- Assisting with the implementation of a play-based learning environment responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities
- Contributing to the planning and implementation of programs which reflect the emerging skills and interests of children
- Developing strong relationships that support and partner with families, and the community
- Complying with the CDPS Code of Conduct, Policies, procedures and Child Safe Standards
- Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in the service’s operations

**Qualifications**

Certificate III or Diploma Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent Mandatory reporting certificate (or willingness to complete prior to start)
