Ballarat, Australia Central Highlands Rural Health Full time

Safely assist with patient handling and transport, including positioning and repositioning patients during surgical procedures
- Preparing and maintaining an operating room and its equipment (Organising specific equipment for operation lists/cases)
- Supporting the surgical team during operations
- Ensuring patient safety, dignity and comfort
- Support clinicians and nursing staff in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Restock and organise theatre supplies and materials
- Understand operating theatre protocols and medical terminology
- Work in a team and communicate in a clinical setting

**Qualifications/experience required**:

- Minimum Certificate III in Health Services Assistance / Operating Theatre Technical Support is essential
- Proven experience as an Operating Theatre Technician
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively and according to directions
- Qualifications in CSSD (Central Sterile Services Department) will be highly regarded.

**Details of Appointment**:
Casual - with the ability to be added to the Kyneton Theatre Casual bank

**Salary**:
Dependent on experience, as per award + superannuation

Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) is a rural health organisation that operates five campuses across Hepburn Shire and the Macedon Ranges in the Central Highlands of Victoria in Australia, north and north-west of Melbourne. It was formed through the voluntary amalgamation of Hepburn Health Service and Kyneton District Health on the 30th November 2019. Each of our campuses retains the name of the township in which they are situated - Clunes Health, Creswick Health, Daylesford Health, Kyneton Health, and Trentham Health.
