Turf Tradesperson

We’re looking for a **Turf Tradesperson** to join our dedicated Horticulture & Sports Grounds team at **Melbourne Park** - the home of the Australian Open and one of Australia’s premier sports and entertainment precincts.

**About the Role**

As a Turf Tradesperson, you’ll play a key role in delivering top-tier horticultural and turf services across a diverse portfolio, including Rod Laver Arena, John Cain Arena, AAMI Park, and Centrepiece - as well as 40+ tennis courts, elite training facilities, and lush open spaces.

You’ll work collaboratively with tenants, venue teams, and infrastructure partners to ensure our playing surfaces and green spaces meet the highest standards for world-class sport, public use, and global events.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the delivery of turf and horticulture programs across the entire precinct, including clay court maintenance.
- Support annual horticulture & turf maintenance planning and operational improvements.
- Lead safe work practices and contribute to safety culture across the precinct.
- Build and maintain productive stakeholder relationships with partners and service providers.
- Champion sustainability by identifying environmentally responsible practices and innovations.

**What You’ll Bring**

**Essential**:

- Experience managing turf and horticulture in a large-scale public or sporting precinct.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or Parks & Gardens.
- ACUP Licence.
- Proficiency in operating horticultural equipment.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).

**Desirable**:

- Experience in venue or major event operations.
- Knowledge of WHS practices.
- Forklift licence.
