Working closely with the Manager Quality-Home and Community Services, Quality Advisors, members of the Business Improvement team, you will instill the principles of continuous improvement and risk management throughout the organisation to ensure responsive systems and processes and contribute to a safe work environment and positive outcomes for consumers. The Quality Advisor is a key leadership role responsible for the ongoing development and evaluation of all components of the quality and risk management system. The role has Key responsibilities and accountabilities to a portfolio of home care, community services, disability services, affordable housing and retirement living. The role also provides support and assistance to mecwacare’s other service/program areas as required. This is a three-year contract with opportunity for extension.
**What you bring**:
- A formalised qualification and/or a minimum of two years’ experience in quality/ risk management
- Comprehensive understanding of the statutory regulations pertinent to Aged and/ or Disability Services
- Comprehensive understanding of quality and risk management principles, frameworks and methodology
- Knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of systems, processes, policies and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Software
- Current Victorian Driver’s License
**Desirable**:
- Registered Nurse/ Enrolled Nurse or Allied Health Professional
- Registered or former Quality Assessor
- Experience in policy development
- Infection prevention and control qualification or undertaking education for same
