Oji Fibre Solutions are a company with huge heritage, backed by the strength of the Oji Group - the world’s 5th largest pulp and paper company with 31,000 employees globally and sales in excess of USD13 billion.

The Yatala facility manufactures corrugated cardboard boxes which play an important part in the presentation, protection, and transportation of customer products in the Horticulture, Protein, Industrial, FMCG and Paper Products segments. Our customers include blue chip manufacturers and marketers of packaging products to the food, primary produce, industrial and grocery sectors. This role is critical for leading and driving our safety culture within our Queensland team.

We are seeking a passionate EHSR Advisor to continue to lead our culture, where safe behaviour and adherence to site policies and procedures is part of everything we do, so everyone goes safely home every day. You will be partnering with site leadership to develop, provide and maintain a safe work environment for the Yatala site, as well as other regional sites within Qld.

Reporting to the State Operations Manager QLD, you will be responsible for:

- Promote and drive Safety and Safety Culture improvements across the Yatala site, and other QLD business’s
- Implement and drive continuous improvement safety initiatives across the plant in conjunction with site leadership
- Develop and implement the safety annual plan in conjunction with site management
- Early and extensive involvement in key safety issues and implementation of a proactive approach to safety and injury management
- Develop, implement and review safety policies, procedures and programs
- Identify EHSR training requirements, coordinate and facilitate training
- Maintain the reporting, auditing and certification requirements of Safety
- Manage the effective operation of the EHSR Committee
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies

You must be a self-starter with a passion for creating and maintaining strong safety awareness and behaviours that exhibit world class standards. Your superb communication and influencing skills; ability to develop strong internal relationships and work autonomously will see you achieve success in this role, coupled with qualifications in WHS, environmental or equivalent, or extensive relevant experience.
