As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of our pharmacy. You will work closely with pharmacists to ensure the timely and accurate dispensing of medications and provide excellent customer service to our patients.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Label and package prescriptions in compliance with pharmacy regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock, ordering, and restocking medications and supplies.
- Commit and manage invoices.
- Handle incoming prescription orders and patient inquiries over the phone and in person.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy area, including the dispensing counter and storage areas.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, record-keeping, and maintaining prescription files.
- Follow all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance with legal requirements and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient needs and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is a plus but not mandatory.
