Disability Support Worker

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- **Emotional Support**: Offer companionship, understanding, and emotional support to participants, fostering meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging.
- **Community Participation**: Facilitate engagement in social activities and community events, helping participants connect with their local community.
- **Skill Development**: Empower participants to develop life skills for enhanced independence, including budgeting and using public transportation.
- **Medical Appointment Assistance**: Accompany participants to medical appointments, aiding with communication and treatment adherence.
- **Household Tasks**: Support with meal planning, preparation, and light household tasks, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
- **Personal Care and Daily Activities**: Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and eating, promoting independent living. (ONLY FOR SPESIFIC CLIENTS)
**Qualifications and Training**:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or Individual Support preferred but not mandatory.
- First Aid Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children Check required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- Experience in disability support or caregiving preferred.

**Salary**: $32.00 - $36.50 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
