Williamson's FoodWorks is a locally owned Supermarket with stores in Gisborne. We are a proud supporter of our local community and have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our company as a Full Time Bakery Assistant at our Gisborne Store

The Permanent Full Time position which will be 38 hours per week, with most weeks working to a standard roster once the successful applicant is fully trained. Ability to start at 5am and Friday and Saturday availability is essential.

Reporting to the Bakery Manager, this is a hands-on role which will include but not limited to; par-baking bread, rolls and other bakery items, preparing products for baking, assisting with stock control, general cleaning duties and customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet critical deadlines
- Excellent organisational & time management skills
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and also under mínimal supervision as required
- Attention to detail and problem solving ability
- Strong communication skills and the ability to confidently liaise with staff and customers
- Be physically capable of being on your feet for long periods of time
- Be a team player who is flexible and adaptable to change
- Basic to intermediate computing skills
- Previous Baking experience will be deemed essential
- Previous Supermarket experience will be deemed beneficial but not essential.
- Flexibility with working hours and the ability to work a combination of early mornings and weekends within a shared rotating roster
