Reporting to Rail Operations Manager, the position includes the following responsibilities:

- Ensuring safe & efficient shunting activities (yard shunting) of rollingstock
- Ensuring train and rollingstock examination activities on the site are conducted in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform assigned duties in accordance with SCT rail policies and work instructions.
- Please note that this position is a yard only role with no mainline requirements.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in similar role
- Knowledge of rail operations and procedures
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Intermediate PC literacy
- High level commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in both a team environment and also unsupervised where required
- Ability to follow instruction and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Current valid Track Awareness Certificate (highly desirable)
