**The Y Queensland **is a not-for-profit organisation with leading services in childcare, fitness, camping, education, hospitality, youth, recreation and community programs. We have been working in local communities across Australia since 1854.

**The YMCA Op Shop** is part of our Social Impact strategy to enhance training opportunities for young people and help raise revenue streams for charitable purposes. The YMCA Op Shop also operates to provide a safe and friendly work environment for volunteers whilst assisting the needy.

We are now looking for a **Store Superviso**r on a **full time basis** at our brand new op shop located at **Strathpine, QLD**.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The successful applicant will be responsible for general retail operational duties, driving sales, delivering high levels of customer service and overseeing the volunteer workforce and vocational students.
- Overall daily retail operations, in support of the Store Manager
- Opening/closing procedures and securing store assets
- Maintain visual displays and overall store appearance
- Assist the Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers, increase sales and drive promotions
- Assist the Store Manager in rostering, recruitment, onboarding and continuous mentoring to new and existing staff members
- Prepare work placement activities as per the vocational training schedule for YMCA Social Impact beneficiaries undertaking certificate-based training in retail
- Manage customer complaints and grievances in accordance to the YMCA policies and procedures
- Monitor, review and manage store budgets and the pricing guide strategy
- Processing invoices, managing accurate sales records and maintaining the cash register float
- Undertake stock management including selection, classification and disposal of surplus items and monitoring of purchases to ensure they remain within budget
- Receive and sort donations

**ABOUT YOU**
- 7-day availability and willingness to work a rotating roster
- Qualifications in retail services coupled with relevant and successful retail experience (preferably fashion)
- Demonstrated previous experience in a store and team management role
- High level of computer literacy including experience using POS systems and Microsoft Suite
- A passion for all things pre-loved and second-hand and an understanding of sustainable living
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for delivering incredible customer service outcomes
- Support diversity at all levels, promoting equal opportunity and a respectful, inclusive workplace
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates or willingness to obtain
- Possess or willingness to obtain a Blue Card and a National Police Check prior to commencement of employment
