Pricing & Tender Officer

**About the role**

The Pricing and Tender Officer is responsible for pricing and assist with tender pricing as part of the presales process, quotation, tender support, estimating for logistics and project enquiries. Further, this role is support to operations.

**What you will be doing**
- Participate in the development of new logistics proposals for the mining industry.
- Investigation and determination of the most cost effective and time relevant method of freight expedition to achieve required results for both customer and company.
- Maintain a professional level of communication with existing customers to address any queries that may arise.
- Preparation of freight & transport quotation and tender documents for existing and potential clients.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and overseas agents.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of company organizational development plan, theories, and implementation procedures.
- Research current mining projects, companies and EPCM’s and identify any prospective new business.
- Assist with introduction of the Antrak brand and Bollore Group to any prospective new clients.
- Maintain statistical data and prepare reports accordingly.
- Compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- Three years of experience in a similar pricing role
- Understanding of logistics / operations
- Excellent organization skills with sound attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Clear, confident, and professional communication skills
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Desirable:

- Track record of any Customer Service, Sales Support type of role in freight forwarding would be an advantage.
